Steps to Schedule a Baptism

1. Baptismal Preparation Class

To schedule a Baptism at St. Brigid Parish (St. Patrick or Our Lady of Humility campuses), both

parents and godparents must attend a Baptismal Preparation Class.

You may take the class in one of the following ways:

  • Online: 2nd Wednesday of the month from 7:00–8:30 PM (TEAMS and in-person) at St. Patrick Main Church
  • In-Person: 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Humility campus

To register for the St. Patrick class, please call the Parish Office at 847-244-4161. To register for the Our Lady of Humility class, please call 847-872-8778

Note: Baptismal Prep Class certificates are valid for 3 years. After that, the class must be repeated to schedule additional baptisms.

Already attended a class elsewhere. We gladly accept certificates or letters of completion from another Catholic parish.

2. Submit Required Documents

Once you have completed the Baptismal Prep Class, please submit the following:

  • Baptismal Intake form (call the parish office after taking the class to have this form emailed to you)
  • A copy of your child’s STATE birth certificate
  • A copy of a parent’s driver’s license (mother or father)

These can be dropped off, mailed, or emailed to the Parish Office at office@saint-brigid.org
