Children's Liturgy of the Word at Mass
Children's Liturgy of the Word...
...is a parish ministry that helps children (PreK 4 - 1st grade) grow in their understanding and love of the Mass. Through age-appropriate activities, prayer, and gentle instruction, children are invited to experience the beauty of the liturgy and learn how to participate more fully in worship. The ministry supports parents by nurturing childrens' faith and helping them recognize that the Mass is a sacred encounter with Jesus and the Church community.
During Mass, the children for CLW will be dismissed by the Presider immediately after the Collect, when the assembly sits down for the reading. They will return during the Offertory collection.
CLW will be offered once a month during St. Patrick’s 11am and Our Lady of Humility 9:30am Mass.

Do you enjoy working with children and sharing God’s Word in a simple, meaningful way?
Our parish is looking for volunteers to help. You do not need to be a teacher—just a caring heart and a willingness to help guide our children as they learn about Jesus at their level (PreK 4 - 1st grade). Training and materials are provided.
If you’re interested or would like more information, please contact Sheila Vidal and Martina Grzelak through office@saint-brigid.org or 847-244-4161. Your time and presence can make a big difference in a child’s faith journey!
