Congratulations on your engagement! The Catholic Church rejoices with you as you prepare for the Sacrament of Marriage— a lifelong covenant rooted in faith, love, and God's grace.

We are honored to walk with you in preparing for this sacred commitment.

  • St. Patrick Main Church Saturdays at 12:30 PM or 2:30 PM
  • St. Patrick Historical Church Saturdays at 12:30 PM or 2:30 PM

Please fill out this form and email it to office@saint-brigid.org. or click here to submit your information online.

Initial Steps & Timeline

Preparation must begin at least 6 months in advance.  Before securing a date, couples must:

  • Complete and submit the Marriage Intake Form (downloadable from our website)
  • Receive approval from the Pastor
  • Pay a $100 non-refundable deposit

No date will be reserved on the parish calendar until these steps are completed.

We strongly recommend completing these steps before booking any reception venue or

making other wedding arrangements.

Marriage Preparation

Our staff will assist you throughout this process to ensure both the spiritual and practical aspects

of your wedding day are well-prepared.

What is Convalidation?

Convalidation is the celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage for couples who are already married civilly but have not yet received the Church’s sacramental blessing. This allows your marriage to be recognized by the Church and receive God’s grace. If you and your spouse were married civilly and wish to have your marriage recognized and blessed by the Catholic Church, you can participate in the Convalidation process. Convalidation ceremonies are typically celebrated at the same parish churches as weddings:

  • St. Patrick Main Church
  • Our Lady of Humility Church

Scheduling depends on priest availability and parish calendar.

Fees

The Convalidation fee is the same as for weddings:

  • Parishioners: $800
  • Non-Parishioners: $1,300

Please contact the parish office for payment details.
